About

Your Trumpet Studio

A recent studio built on more than two decades of teaching, research and work with musicians.

About us

Research crafted by musicians

Your Trumpet Studio is the current home of a methodology developed through more than two decades of teaching, research and direct work with musicians. The studio itself is a recent project; the experience behind it is not.

Jordi Albert and David Pérez join forces to work in close coordination for the benefit of high-performance trumpet players and their training.

Dr. Jordi Albert, designer of the methodology, personally supervises each case and conducts the initial and follow-up evaluations. He also leads individual sessions focused on understanding each player’s specific situation, designing training routines, establishing objectives and making the necessary adjustments throughout the process.

David Pérez, a highly accomplished and internationally recognized musician, works in close coordination with Dr. Jordi Albert to provide continuous follow-up for each student. His work focuses particularly on musical interpretation, technical development and performance, offering students an exceptional musical and technical model. Together, Jordi and David coordinate the training process with the aim of helping each trumpet player achieve the highest possible level of performance.

The faculty works as a coordinated team: Jordi Albert and David Pérez are Lead Faculty, while Guillem Torró, Carles Camarasa and our international guest teachers participate as Adjunct and Masterclass Faculty.

Our studio is limited to a maximum of 40 trumpet players from different parts of the world. Students work intensively on their own development as musicians while also actively contributing to the learning process of their fellow studio members. This creates an environment in which individual progress and collaborative learning reinforce one another.

With the development of new technologies in recent years, remote teaching has become increasingly effective. Educational technologies also allow us to provide highly individualized monitoring and to extend the learning process far beyond the lesson itself.

How we work

One process, several perspectives

The studio is designed so that assessment, training and performance are connected instead of treated as isolated lessons.

01. Assess

Understand the player

We identify goals, current strategies, strengths and the elements that may be limiting progress.

02. Coordinate

Design the process

The Lead Faculty defines priorities and coordinates the interventions that will benefit each player most.

03. Train & transfer

Bring it into music

The aim is not simply to improve exercises, but to transfer learning to auditions, rehearsals, performance and daily musical life.

Technology & learning

Support beyond the lesson

We use Zoom Meetings, FarPlay, Google Classroom and Discord to support communication, materials, collective work and follow-up throughout the learning process.

The technology is not the method. It is the infrastructure that lets the method continue between lessons and across countries.
