The Didactics of Mtro. Jordi Albert is out of the conventional. Being a professional in the field with extensive experience; at first, he doesn’t confuse you with technicalities or overly cumbersome techniques, he never makes anything seem difficult, for him everything is simple and natural.
I started the trumpet with him 10 months ago, the first day he made me play a high D and I couldn’t believe it. Gradually he polished my technique and now I can play a wide range without injuring myself or getting tired.

I haven’t been studying with maestro Jordi Albert for long, but I really liked his methodology from the first class. Since that first time, there has been a significant change in how I play. He is a person with great knowledge and especially knows how to explain in an easy-to-understand manner. It is a pleasant experience to be part of his group of students.

After completing my degree, I found in Maestro Jordi Albert and his Your Trumpet Studio the information, resources, and experience I needed to achieve my goals and solve problems that had plagued me since I began with the trumpet. He has enabled me to rediscover the trumpet, musical teaching, and music in general. Now I see it’s possible to play at a high level and very efficiently, something that previously wasn’t an option in my mind. After 20 years of playing the trumpet, I have more desire to practice and play than ever. Through the Your Trumpet Studio course by maestro Jordi Albert, where he applies his interpretative, technical, and musical experience combined with his knowledge in neuroscience and the body’s learning process, I have successfully changed my embouchure and, above all, I feel capable of playing again.

After a neuromuscular disorder, which prevented me from playing my instrument, I contacted Jordi. Thanks to his knowledge in this complex field, I have been able to enjoy my instrument again.

I want to share a bit about my experience attending classes with maestro Jordi Albert. More than a teacher, I consider him a friend. I met him over 12 years ago, and he has always had an incredible ability to detail complications that are imperceptible to many. In 2023, we reconnected through Your Trumpet Studio, and the change since then has been very beneficial. He has fostered a body awareness that enhances sound production from my thoughts in a very simple way, resulting in a change in musical styles, interpretation, endurance, and musical qualities now relying more on neurological commands than physical aspects. In other words, I’ve found ways to focus my trumpet practice more on what I want to do rather than what I need to fix. With exercises in musical sensitivity, the approach to what we all dream of achieving on our instruments is increasingly within our reach through his knowledge. It’s going to be difficult to explain everything in a short paragraph, but I met Jordi at the end of 2016. After changing an embouchure at the conservatory, and being in the fourth course, I decided to work with him because I saw that I was not advancing to what I was studying, I saw no results, I did not have a fine, beautiful sound, I had little resistance, I had no range… I suffered a lot playing both physically and psychologically. We changed the embouchure and things that stemmed from having worked so poorly all my life but for me, the most important part was the psychological aspect. I was fighting against the trumpet. I still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do, but I am very happy with all the improvements and progress I have made.
I went from not being able to complete my intermediate degree to making a living with the trumpet. Additionally, I am now a trumpet teacher and I try the exercises with my students and they all see results.

For me, the classes have been like therapy, helping me greatly to free my mind from many blockages.

Now I can say that I am a high-performance trumpet player.
